EASY CHOCOLATE WAFERS

BASIC INFORMATION:

INGREDIENTS:

  • butter, unsalted (250 g)
  • sugar, white or brown (3/4 cup)
  • milk (1/2 cup (ca.120 ml))
  • cocoa powder (6 tbsp)
  • wafers (5-6 pcs.)
  • optional: almond flakes (1 tbsp)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Filling: melt butter (medium heat), add sugar, cocoa and milk. Mix thoroughly till mixture has no lumps (viscous and shiny).
  1. Spread hot filling between wafers gluing them together. Repeat using all mixture or leave a little bit for covering the top (see: step 4).
  1. Press with heavy board (2-3 hours in a room temperature, ca. 1 hour in a fridge). Cut and serve.

OR

  1. When the filling between wafers is set, spread the top with the remaining mixture (if it’s too thick, you may warm it up a bit). Sprinkle with almond flakes and put into the fridge (2-3 hours). Then cut and serve.
